Have you seen the new Wal-mart commercials where they show you how much you can save? I love the pizza one where if you order out once a week compared to getting a frozen pizza at Wal-mart. I love that they pretty much spell it out for you. I love Wal-Mart so I don’t have to be told twice to go! Actually I have to stay away because just like Target that’s another favorite store of mine. I just got a new blow dryer at Wal-mart a ceramic one with the ions for $16! And it’s so hot I had to put it on warm so I don’t burn myself! Done any good shopping at Wal-Mart lately? Please share your savings

Guess what I just watched Friday night on DVD? Sex in the City! I have to admit I was one of the millions of ladies that tuned in every Sunday on HBO and was upset when it went off the air. I’m also upset because it took so long for them to finally film a movie! I was supposed to go with a BFF to watch but you know how that goes. Life gets in the way and things get rearranged and next thing you know I never made in the theatre.
Well every Friday hubby and I go to Blockbuster for their 99 cent overnight rentals. I’m so glad I watched it at home because it was so emotional. I didn’t cry (I’m not the crying type) but I was literally about to smack hubby upside the head. He thought he can comment on every single scene as I watched it. It was driving me nuts!! This would be a good rental for when you and your fellow Mami’s get together for a Ladies Night. I like to call them Diva Nights. A good Cosmo (or Margarita!) and some popcorn and you will be set for the evening!
If you need to catch up (or you want to see what the big hoopla is about) check out the the entire show (or ask for it for Christmas!)
Sex and the City – The Complete Series (Collector’s Giftset)
John Leguizamo is going to be in the new movie “Nothing Like the Holidays”. I love him I think this Puerto Rican actor is hilarious! He played a great drug dealer in
Empire (one of my favorite movies) and I also loved him when he played the boxer in Undefeated. Freddie Rodriguez and Debra Messing are also going to be featured in it as well as Elizabeth Pena . Debra Messing is playing John Leguizamo’s wife. There will be lots of Latino tradition shared in this movie. Check out the
trailer and
official site for more information. I hope we all go out in support of this Latino movie. We need to be represented more at the theatre!
With the fall comes my least favorite thing: Changing my closet and putting my summer stuff for my winter/fall stuff. It’s such a task! I’m usually sooooo organized but if you see my closet right now it’s a mess. It’s a walk in but you can barely walk inside. Hopefully this weekend I will be able to get in there and get it all straightened out. I do want to buy some key peices to add to my fall wardrobe. I’d like to step it up a bit at work because I’ve been doing sneakers for too long and my hair isn’t even done today. I just got it cut into a nice style about a month ago!
I was thinking of getting some button down shirts from Dots or something. That’s my absolute favorite store because of their cute clothes and great prices. Since I’m the ultimate bargain-ista I make a list of what I have in mind before I even go to the store. Since I’m adding to my wardrobe I want to make sure I get things that compliment what I already have but also get some trendy peices.
Here’s what I’m looking to get. About three button down shirts (purple, black, white or navy blue) I desperately need a jacket a cute pair of brown shoes and a pair of black shoes. A sweater or sweater vest to layer with the button downs and maybe a new pair of slacks in brown or tan. Now if I just had the money to go along with all these clothes I’m looking to get!
This is a little late notice but I got some info for an exclusive opportunity to meet Ms. Jlo (Jennifer Lopez) Monday at Macy’s in NYC. She is debuting her new men’s cologne Deseo for Men. If interested, leave me a comment and I will forward the information for you! It’s on Monday between 1-3. I wish I could make it but it’s too short notice for me. I’m sure this could make someone’s day!

A few weeks ago Jazmine Sullivan’s song “I need You Bad” was the free single of the week. I love that song. There’s this new song playing on the radio which sounds a little old school like Alicia Keys/Amy Whinehouse. It’s called I bust the windows out your car or something. I’ve heard it a few times and I really like it. Well I just find out today that it’s Jazmine Sullivan’s song! I think I’m definitely going to get her CD. Click the picture to preview and buy your copy!
Speaking of Amy Winehouse I can’t find my copy of her CD! I know it’s around my house somewhere you should see my CD collection. It’s ridiculous. I need to take some time to sort it. I’m itching to listen to Amy Baby!
***updated to increase font and add link for CD.
I should not be allowed to go to Target by myself. I always come out with more than I was planning on buying. I’m the same with Walmart. I’ve been able to avoid Walmart but I get my diapers from Target I use the store brand. I think they are great for such a good price! $5 for the small pack $10 for the bigger pack and the box is like $13. You really can’t beat that and I rarely ever have an issue with Booba going through his diapers. He sometimes does overnight but you would expect that with any brand of diaper.
Anyway so I go in yesterday it’s just me and Booba for diapers and milk. I spent over $30. How you ask when the diapers are so cheap? I bought the $10 pack of diapers by the way. I ended up buying fish crackers (Booba’s fave) some frozen mini burgers, some more plates with the non slip for Booba, toilet paper. It’s terrible. Last summer hubby was working weekends and when I got bored guess where I went? Target! I spent HOURS in there taking my time going aisle by aisle buying the entire store. Geez and I wonder why I have no money?
Eyes.Lips.Face. Cosmetics

I just learned something new! Did you know that infrared saunas can help out with different kinds of ailments? They can help with things like pain relief, asthma (that’s me!!) arthritis, weight loss (you can burn up to 900 cal in a 30 minute session) and a whole list of things that are important to us ladies like menopausal symptoms aging and skin care. Even nosebleeds and sore throat! Wow I didn’t even know that infrared saunas can do that did you? That would be something to put on my list of things to try. That’s a new way to think of beauty!
