What do you do?

This time of year? Since I spend the spring and summer outside in the garden (yes I garden I know they call me a vieja!) I focus on the inside of my house during the fall and winter. I like to decorate and find ways to make my house look great on a budget. We still need major items like a dining room set and a living room set. I am working on that hopefully with tax season we’d be able to get the living room set. Our house was so seventies when we bought it we’re literally tackling it room by room to get everything done. Right now my kitchen needs a new range hood and stove and I would love a garbage disposal. The half bath still needs to be finished. I still need a ceiling fan with a light in the living room. It’s basically finishing touches.
I do like to find ways to repurpose furniture and I loved the idea a friend of mine had. Her house looks amazing, if I was single it would definitely look like that! But she was using a dresser in the living room for her movie collection. We have an amazing movie/cd/playstation game collection and I’m thinking of borrowing that idea!
Did you know that Wal-mart now carries Better Homes and Garden collections? I’m definitely going to check that out and see what I can find for the living room!
