Leverage Card to help protect gift card owners

As you may know there have been lots of companies folding due to bankruptcy and consumers have been afraid to buy gift cards especially during this holiday season. LeverageCard.com offers gift card bankruptcy protection for consumers that purchase gift cards directly through LeverageCard.com. At no extra cost LeverageCard can protect you from any retailers that may possibly close their doors.

If a retailer files for bankruptcy and stops accepting their own gift cards, if you contact Leverage Card during the first 30 days you can request a replacement gift card with another retailer. The only catch is that the gift card you currently hold should have been bought within the first 90 days of the call being placed to Leverage Card. With Leverage Card you can:

  • Buy gift cards from hundreds of top retailers, restaurants and travel providers with a convenient balance tracking online.
  • Swap gift cards with other Leverage Card members so that you get what you want when you want it.
Earn interest on gift card balances and receive bankruptcy protection from cards ordered with Leverage Card.
  • Receive personalized offers according to your profile and interests without worrying about SPAM. Offers are only shared after you log in to your account.

This is a great way to protect yourself and the gift recipients of your gift cards. Check out their website and let me know what you think!

  2. You can also sell or exchange unwanted gift cards at http://www.giftcardrescue.com/ and get between 60-80% of card value depending on the popularity of the card.
