Latina Magazine is sharing the most popular Latino Baby Names of 2008. They polled their readers and came up with top ten boys and girls names. Top three girls names are:

  1. Sophia Sofia
  2. Camila
  3. Valentina

Top three boys names are:

  1. Santiago
  2. Sebastian
  3. Diego

    I’m surprised to see Latin people spelling Sophia like that…shouldn’t it be Sofia? Just a thought…one of my friends just named her daughter Eva-Sofia and she is a gorgeous baby! =)

    You are so right! My bad! I checked the link and they did spell it Sofia with the accent on the i. I don’t know what I was thinking when I was writing this post. Great catch, fixing it now!

    I bet the reason why Valentina is really still so popular is because Salma named her daughter that! I thought for sure Santiago and Diego were passé, but if they figure in the top boys’ list I guess I’m wrong, then.
