Las Tontas No Van Al Cielo is getting Juicy!

So here’s the latest recap as of Monday 2/2/09 (because yes I am still a few days behind). I know some of you enjoy my versions of the recap so here goes:

Candi’s son Chaba has been diagnosed with leukemia and she is not a match for him. She goes to her BFF (Patricio’s other BM) and asks her to please test her son who’s Chaba’s half brother to check if he’s a match since she isn’t. Her BFF says no. Now I’m going to say something here. If this was real life and I was in this position I would do it. If my best friend who also happens to be the mother of my son’s half brother begs me to please help her and my son can help I don’t see why not. As a mother I felt Candi’s pain and I was outraged that her BFF wouldn’t even think about it. At least consider it and educate yourself on the procedure before you turn her down don’t you think? I was just thinking “Damn…what if that was your son and her son could help? Wouldn’t you want her to?” I understand the need of protecting your child but this is a child that not only is your BFF’s child but is close with his half brother. They act like brothers even though they don’t know they are. I don’t believe the procedure is life threatening either.

Ok so back to the storyline. Her BFF says no and Patricio happens to stop by to drop off their son. This conversation is happening at her BFF’s house. So Candi runs to the kitchen to hide because obviously she’s still playing dead and even though her sister Alicia knows that she’s not dead, she is keeping the info from Patricio because she knows Patricio would leave her in a minute since Candi was always the love of his life. (now is that a run-on sentence or what!) Well Patricio brought up the topic of Chaba’s sickness and is it really serious. Before the BFF could reply here comes Candi and tells him, yes our son Chaba is sick and you can help him. This is the type of dramatic moments I watch novelas for!

Now I have questions for ya: WWYD if your BFF asked you to help out her son? Would you turn her down? Please mention if you have kids or not. My next question could have been “How far would you go to save your child’s life” but that goes without saying right? And the way I see it, Patricio wasn’t a threat to Candi, he never physically abused her or threatened her with her life or her child’s life so really she didn’t put her self in any immediate danger by finally confessing she wasn’t dead. She was just so heartbroken she preferred it that way so he wouldn’t come looking for her.

BM: Baby Momma or Baby Mami J BFF: Best Friends Forever

**and yes I know this isn’t true life but I am applying it to real life events to get your thoughts.**

Please discuss!
