How can I get my hair like Candi in Las Tontas?

Are you asking yourself this question? Las Tontas No Van Al Cielo is a popular telenovela on Univision. Candi’s hair is just as popular and I am here to help you out! Now I’m going to assume one thing: Your hair is long. If it’s not then you need to go get extensions chica!

Tools needed: 2″ Hair Iron, Heat Activated Flexible Hair Spray,  Rat Tail Comb

First: Start by washing your hair. If it’s extremely curly like mine or even wavy you’re going to have to blow dry it with a round brush. An alternative is to go the old school way and get rolos. But your hair should be dried all the way through.

Next, while you’re warming up your 2″ Hair Iron, use the Rat Tail Comb to  tease the crown of your hair before you divide the hair into sections. Take a section of hair at a time (two inches wide) and wind the hair iron around it. Keep the iron parallel to your face, the way you want your curls to fall. Don’t wind any higher than your ears you want to keep that body at the crown. While the hair is curled around the iron, Use the Heat Activated Flexible Hair Spray and lightly spray it.

Repeat this for each section of hair. Use the Rat Tail Comb to lightly pull the curls apart if you wish. Use the tail part so not to damage the curl. Lightly spray your whole head. It’s important that you get the Flexible Hair Spray because you don’t want your hair to be crunchy. That is not sexy! The Heat Activation helps protect your hair and it is made to work with things like the hair iron and other curling irons.

Cheat! You can cheat on the crown at the body by getting yourself one of those Thinny Hair Holders that you see on TV. I’ve personally never tried it but it states it can give you more volume at the crown.
