Hola amigas! My name is Lily and I’m a new blogger for Mami’s Time Out. I’m a Nicaraguan working girl living in Miami and looking to travel, shop, read, write, eat and dance. And of course, I love me a good bargain. So get ready for more fabulous fashion finds, real product reviews and deals and steals that will keep you looking bellas without leaving you en la calle. Between my crazy Latin family, my husband and my spoiled Chihuahua, there’s always something interesting going on. Pero, let me tell you a little bit more about the chica who will be informing you of the latest trends, sales, must-have items and beauty products. So, here is a quick list of things that I must have.
1.La familia (yes, we all know what’s going with everyone all the time and my Polish-Australian husband is coming to terms with it)
2.My chihuahua, Diesel (he’s a flying 7 lb dog with pouty lips)
3.Dancing (it’s euphoric!)
4.Hot pink CROCS after a long day of wearing heels at the office
5.Te de Tilo (yes, go ahead and laugh, but abuela drank it for a reason)
6. DESSERTS – let me clarify, I heart dulce de leche on cookies, ice cream, cup cakes and cheesecake.
7.Spicy food from all over the world! Mexico, Thailand, Japan, Vietnam, Peru, Jamaica…
8.Latin ballads (call me loca, but there’s nothing like romantic Spanish music)
9. Solano flat iron (because some days my hair needs to be tamed)
10.NARS red lizard lipstick for those days when I feel like this petite Hispanic girl can take over the world
So what are some of your must haves? Can’t wait to get to know each other!
What are you looking forward to? Spring/Summer Edition

Mami’s Answer: I’m looking forward to the Don Omar album. Keri Hilson already dropped and I would like to check that album out as well. I’m also looking forward to Cuidado Con El Angel’s ending. This novela started in September and still going strong! I think two novelas at a time are just draining me! Besides this, I haven’t been able to watch much TV. Fashion purchases, I may be looking into one or two (or three!) of those sneakers I featured in an earlier post. I still need to loose some weight.
Can’t wait to read your responses!
Mami Recommends: Loreal Feria
If you are going to dye your hair at home the best DIY hair color is Loreal Feria. It does everything it says it does, it’s bright, prismatic and multifaceted. After my hair disaster a friend and I dyed each other’s hair to fix it. I still dyed it red but the red from Easter Weekend already washed out! My hair was brown, black and red. It was a mess. So we got together and bought each other the Feria hair color. Both of us were pleased with the results. Sad that we paid so much money before and Feria even took care of my roots! And I have pretty dark black hair. Now if your hair is dyed black like mine was nothing is going to get that out unless you bleach it. Before you go to that extreme learn from me and only let them bleach it once or twice at most and make sure that person knows what their doing. The place I went to obviously didn’t and for hair dye to wash out four weeks later is unacceptable. That was beyond cheap hair dye she was using. Not only that, but I was using sulfate free shampoo!
You can find Loreal Feria at all your favorite stores including Walgreens, Target, Walmart and CVS. You can also check out colors online. My color was Ruby Fusion #66. I also love the variety of color that they offer, none of which look vieja! (old lady-ish) I’m going to end with a line from Feria’s web site: "No Appointment Necessary!" Get your beauty on! Stay bella!

Miguel Angel Silvestre is a Spanish actor born on April 6, 1982. He was a former tennis player but retired due to an injury. His latest appearance was in Telemundo’s Sin Senos No Hay Paraiso where he played El Duque. I’ve never seen him before until I stumbled on an image. He’s definitely worthy of the hottie title. I wish I could have found more info on him, specifically height and weight. I like my hotties to be tall! What do you think of today’s hottie? I hope everyone enjoys their Memorial Day Weekend which to me is the official launch of summer! |

Best Perfumes for Spring/Summer
I’ve been spending some time at my local perfume counter looking for something summery and light but not too flowery. Here I share some of my faves that definitely passed my sniff test! I like Oriental and Spicy scents but I’m trying a new scent with a hint of flower in it. I mean, is for use in the warmer months!
DKNY Be Delicious: It’s semi-sweet smell that I really like. Fragancenet.com describes it as: cucumber, white muguet, violet, magnolia, apple, grapefruit, tuberose, woods, rose. I guess it has just enough woods for me to be ok with the flowers.
Chanel Chance: It’s a very good summer daytime scent. This one may actually be my new signature scent. Here’s a bit from Fragrance.net: a refined blend of jasmine and citrus. Now I understand why I liked this one. I love the smell of jasmine. They are not the typical flowery type of smell it’s a bit more spicy. I love jasmines! You can get a 1.07 spray for $57.19. (I prefer the spray and not the parfum…way too strong!)
Burberry The Beat: It’s a very girly smell actually but not overly so. Here’s what Fragrance.net had to say about it: woody floral scent with bergamot, cardamom, pink pepper, mandarin, Ceylon tea, iris, white musk, vetiver, and cedar. If you are like me and don’t like the flowery smells this could be a good compromise. It honestly smells delish. No man would be able to resist you! You can purchase a mini for $10.79.
I love Fragancenet.com due to their money back guarantee and free shipping on orders over $75. Check out the search box to see if your favorite is on sale at Fragrancenet.com Maybe you can find your new favorite summer perfume ! Smell sweet and stay bella!
Lusting After: Purses
I am always looking for new purses from one season to the next and the first place I hit is Baby Phat! Tell me this Baby Phat tote is not cute? I dare you! And for only $20 I can carry so many of my summer faves in it.
This overnight bag comes in pink and white/gold for $79. I’m wondering how big is it really because I can probably use it as an every day bag. Sad isn’t it? But at any given time I can carry bills, paperback books, makeup, my iPod, sippy cups, toys and more in my bag. I need enough room to carry it all!

I’m really feeling Guess’s purses right now. I love their new styles. I like this daisy print but it should come in other colors besides black. Especially for spring.

I love Kathy Von Zeeland and although this purse can also be used as an overnight bag I really love that color. Turquoise is my color! It also comes in black, brown, yellow and white.

Honestly if I only could make one purchase this season it would be that cute Baby Phat tote. Which one would you choose? Or do you prefer another type of purse?
