Mami Recommends: Loreal Feria

If you are going to dye your hair at home the best DIY hair color is Loreal Feria. It does everything it says it does, it’s bright, prismatic and multifaceted. After my hair disaster a friend and I dyed each other’s hair to fix it. I still dyed it red but the red from Easter Weekend already washed out! My hair was brown, black and red. It was a mess. So we got together and bought each other the Feria hair color. Both of us were pleased with the results. Sad that we paid so much money before and Feria even took care of my roots! And I have pretty dark black hair. Now if your hair is dyed black like mine was nothing is going to get that out unless you bleach it. Before you go to that extreme learn from me and only let them bleach it once or twice at most and make sure that person knows what their doing. The place I went to obviously didn’t and for hair dye to wash out four weeks later is unacceptable. That was beyond cheap hair dye she was using. Not only that, but I was using sulfate free shampoo!

You can find Loreal Feria at all your favorite stores including Walgreens, Target, Walmart and CVS.  You can also check out colors online. My color was Ruby Fusion #66. I also love the variety of color that they offer, none of which look vieja! (old lady-ish) I’m going to end with a line from Feria’s web site: "No Appointment Necessary!" Get your beauty on! Stay bella!

That is crazy!! You should go to that salon and let them know what happened. Or better yet, do a review of them and show them the link…LOL I’m so evil when it comes to things like that. You just gave her ur hard-earned money.. I’m glad you found a solution tho’.

I love red on you too. Great color! Not many people can rock that color.

@Lisa, I am still upset about that girl. Maybe I’ll take them to the better business bureau? I don’t know. I just feel like she’s getting away with it if I don’t do anything.

I’m glad you like my red! It’s brighter at the top than at the bottom. *sigh* I will be chopping it soon. It’s just fried.

the only time I’ve ever dyed my hair was when I used henna, but the last time I did that was years ago! I have a lot of hair, it’s very thick, so an at-home dye job kind of scares me because I don’t think I’d ever get it all.

I am so glad your turned out well!!

I have thick hair too. If you find a girlfriend that you can get your hair done by as long as she doesn’t miss a spot you’re good! I’ve had my hubby do it before. :)

Oh gosh I HATE that stuff! It only stayed in my hair for two washes, and my hair is already dark brown! I will NEVER use it again!!! Yeah, the color was nice in the beginning. But a week later and it was all gone!!! =(
