Tips for Decorating on a Budget(or free!!)
This season brings out the home decorator in me. I start looking for good finds to add to my house. But before you go spending some hard earned money here are a few tips to redecorate without spending cash (or spending as little as possible):
1. Check other rooms in your house and move furniture around. My hubby took a TV stand from our bedroom and put it in the living room. It looks perfect compared to the other one. And we didn’t have to spend a dime!
2. Switch around frames and photos. For a new look, switch around your wall decor from room to room. Swap the living with the dining room pieces. Move around frames and decor from your entry way to an upstairs hallway. You can easily give rooms a new look by rearranging the frames. You can also make your own custom looking wall decor with some paper and glue!
3. Change up your living room with throw pillows. You can find throw pillows to fit any color combo everywhere from Walmart, Target or you can visit your local craft store and make your own!
4. Reuse! You can keep an eye out on Craig’s List, local flea markets and local garage sales for pieces that can fit your home. Just make sure you have an actual list of things you need and only buy what you need. Take measurements of spaces you’d like to fill with furniture so that you don’t bring something home that doesn’t fit. The local Salvation Army and other thrift stores are also a good way to find something at a good price. They may need some TLC and elbow grease but I’m sure that by the time you are done with it, it would look fab!
Are you dying for more space? Maybe a Storage beds for sale in twin and King styles would help!
With these tips I’m sure you’ll still be able to enjoy your summer while adding a few new pieces to your home!
