New Hairstyle Trend: Side Bun
I’ve never been a fan of the regular bun. It looks very harsh and librarian-ish. But the new side bun is perfect and it’s cute for everyday or special occasion. I prefer side parts in my hair anyway but you really don’t need a side part. you can part it or not, leave bangs out like this picture of Sarah Jessica Parker. You can put your bangs on one side and bun on the other. Or you can put the bun and bangs on the same side. Whatever works for you! Just make sure you smooth it out with your favorite gel or hairspray. Of course you also need bobby pins and you’re good to go! These Hollywood Bobby Pins Black 60pk. are only 80 cents on Amazon! To make bobby pins disappear in your hair, make sure you get some in the same shade as your hair.
Mami’s Tip: make sure your hair is close to the nape of your neck and only an inch or two off center. You don’t want the bun to hover close to your ears! Definitely not sexy! Also, if you’re one of those chicas that must have your hair down all the time you can try a half down half up look as well. There’s unlimited possibilities!
What do you think of this sexy easy look?

Hmmm I don’t know why but the first thing I thught of when I read side bun is Princess Leia of Star Wars! Weird imagine indeed LOL But it looks so pretty on Sarah Jessica Parker (doesn’t everything?) that I’m going to try it myself.

I’m going to try it too. I think the key is to keep it a little more loose and messy. Too tight and you’ll definitely have the Princess Leia look! lol.
