Celebrity Mom’s and Weight Loss
I’ve been noticing in the celebrity magazines that they have new celebrity moms on the covers telling you how they lost all their baby weight in days. Occasionally I do go off on a rant when I something is really bothering me. Like when I talked about the insane amount of child support some rappers are paying. This topic has really been bothering me for a while and I’ve about had enough. First of all there is no way that could happen without some surgical help. Most doctors won’t even let a new mom exercise until they are at least 6 weeks post partum. Bad enough that we feel pressured by a magazine’s perception of beauty with all the airbrushing and Photoshop that is currently being done. But to also give new moms that new pressure? It’s horribly unfair. New moms are already hormonal from the changes happening to their bodies post partum. Besides dealing with a newborn, new moms now have to deal with how fast they can bounce back. I just find that insanely wrong.
The cover with Kim Kardashian’s sister Kourtney was one thing but now one of those weekly mags has Kendra on the cover with a bikini on holding her baby. What message are we portraying here? Don’t even bother bonding with your baby you have to get to the gym stat in order to get that body back. Seriously people? We women are already obsessed with weight and food and trying out all these diets and tricks that these magazines swear help these new moms lose their baby weight. And here I am happy that I’ve made my pre-baby weight even though my baby is three years old this month and not three months old. I don’t know we can be so pressured to look great as women but no one cares what dad looks like. What’s up with that? He may have baby weight to lose as well. Of course if my job was to look cute all the time and I had all the time in the world to hit the gym, go to the spa and bond with my baby it would be so much easier. But for the working mom who always has something to do? Even if you’re reading this and you’re a stay at home mom in my book you’re still a working mom because that’s hard work! But I guess we’re also at fault too. I mean they are going to continue to print these covers if we continue to buy them right?

Recap on the last Chapter of Sortilegio

Ok so please tell me if it’s just me here. But I felt like I was missing something the last two weeks of Sortilegio. What the hell happened? The writers fell off or something. I felt like they were skipping information I was confused with the whole Bruno thing. One minute he’s in a shack with hay and the next they were on a beach fighting and there were guns involved? What? I know that novelas are full of action and if you blink you miss something but this was a bit much. Did anyone else feel like it was hurried? Like they were just ready to finish the novela? And it only lasted about four months the usual novela lasts at least six or more. Univision and Televisa get a fail for this. Especially when you’re going to have hottie William Levy in the novela why hurry it? Take your time let me get all that eye candy in! We wouldn’t have been mad about that! Sigh. Now waiting to see the next William Levy feature. Ese papi chulo esta como el quiere! Lol.
What do you think of the ending of Sortilegio?

For those of you who love this novela and sad that it’s moved from 7pm to 3pm you can still purchase the audio soundtrack that includes the song UN GANCHO AL CORAZON. There’s only one for sale right now, looks like it’s a Mexican import. Grab it before someone else does! Hasta luego noveleros!

Purchase the theme song from En Nombre Del Amor

Laura Pausini is known for heartbreaking and heartfelt songs. The theme song from El Nombre Del Amor is not much different. En cambio no is the song played in the beginning and ending credits of En Nombre Del Amor. It’s off of her CD Primavera anticipada (Spanish Version)
. The CD was released on November 11, 2008 and can be found on Amazon. This is great for telenovela addicts, El Nombre Del Amor viewers and even non telenovela addicts. Laura Pausini has won many grammies and has an amazing voice. Check it out!
I’m so bad with the recaps but I must say that Carlota is a crazy biatch!! She just kills someone if they are in her way or she’s not getting her way. She uses people constantly. And the whole drama with Paloma is just ridiculous. Poor Gabriel is so sweet and he has to be dying? Why does everyone die on this poor girl! Romina is just a hot mess. I’m glad that her husband left her. She deserves everything that’s coming to her. And her dad Samuel is horrible as well. Stealing money from his own daughter! This novela is full of drama. It was moved from 8pm to 7pm. Ok so who’s watching?

Saturday Steal: Coat
I’ve been on the hunt for a new coat even though winter is almost over. This is the best time to find great deals. Check out this cute coat I found at Victoria’s Secret. It was originally $148.88 and it’s now on clearance for $69.99. I was going to buy myself one but there are limited sizes left.
What do you think of this coat?

Dressing up for spring
So I have this love/hate relationship with dresses. Not too sure why. Maybe because when I was younger I wasn’t allowed to wear pants due to my religion. So when I became of age and chose my own path, all I owned was pants. Not only that but the dresses that I did own were horribly destroyed during a move. Recently though, I’ve decided to become more girly again and try dresses out. I wore a dress to a holiday party and my hubby’s 30th surprise party (which was a blast by the way!) and since lightening didn’t strike I figured maybe dresses are ok to wear again, at least once in a while.
I do own a sweater dress that I received as a birthday gift but I just hate tights and stockings. Always have and always will. But this spring, as soon as the snow melts I may be making some dress purchases. I need some staples. A cute hanging out with the girlies dress (hellooooooo diva night!) A nice shirt dress for work and some cute hanging out dresses. My fashionable new year’s resolution is to show off these legs of mine that are actually enviously skinny! Now I’m wondering why I hide the skinniest part of my body. Hmmmmm….
Spring Makeup Color is…Coral!
Believe it or not, I’m excited about Coral being the trendy makeup color for spring. This color is very flattering on all skin tones and I’m sure you can find something that looks absolutely fab on you. Here are some of my picks. Stay Bella!
