Picking the Best Sunglasses for Your Face

We all love the diva status that comes with wearing a great pair of shades. Even Jackie O was a diva in her day! You definitely don’t want to be a fashion don’t by wearing the wrong pair. Just because it looks fab on your BFF doesn’t mean it will look great on you as well. Here are some tips on picking the best frames for your face. You always want to go the opposite of your face shape.

 

 

 

 

1. Round face chicas need something angular. Oval will work too. Straight round shades are not a good idea and make your face even rounder.

 

 

 

 

2. Oval faced chicas (think Jessica Alba or Jennifer Lopez) are lucky in that they can rock whatever style they’d like. Make sure the pair is also wide enough for your face.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

3. Squared face chicas (think of Salma Hayek) can rock the Jackie O glasses. Those big round shades are must for you! But the ones that Salma are wearing in this pic are hot as well. See how great they are width wise?

Toy Story 3 Coming to Theaters in June

My three year old loves Toy Story. He loves “Buzzie” and owns a few Buzzies as well as his cute little undies. We already have Toy Story 1 and 2 on DVD and may make Toy Story 3 his first real movie theatre experience. It premiers on June 18, 2010. You will meet 14 new toys in this next installment. I can’t wait to get my BFF’s together and have little Mami and son triple dates with our boys! They are going to be all about this movie!

Clorox Basket Giveaway!

I’ve been approached to host this great basket giveaway and I’m so sorry I should have posted it sooner. I have a lot of stuff up my sleeve just no time to share! But I promise I’ll be catching up this weekend and sharing all the fantastic stuff I have in store!

 

I honestly keep a bottle of Clorox Disinfecting Wipes in my bathroom and another bottle of Disinfecting Wipes in the kitchen. Those are two areas prone to germs and where people can get sick. So I make sure that I wipe down the kitchen with a disinfecting wipe after each food prep and also the bathroom. Things like the faucet, the toilet seat (and potty seat) as well as the sink and anything else hands can touch.

Well back to the basket…..

Watch Full Univision shows Online!

You can now watch all your favorite Univision shows online! Shows include Despierta America, Don Francisco Presenta, Mujeres Asesinas (which I admit looks intriguing but haven’t had time to watch), El Gordo y La Flaca, Primer Impacto and lots more! You can also watch a compilation of your favorite shows and what happened during the week. What a great idea for those of us who don’t have time to watch these shows when they originally air!

How many lip glosses in your purse?

I carry a selection of lip glosses and lip sticks in my purse which I change around from time to time. I always keep my favorites with me because I apply my lip gloss in the car on the way to work. Don’t worry I’m being a safe driver! In case you were wondering what’s currently in my little makeup bag I keep in my purse here it is!

1. Mac Viva Glam VI both gloss and stick. Love this color!

2. Lorac Glosses  in Haute, Lavish and Glam ( got these for Christmas. Some great shades of pink!)

3. L’Ancome Juicy Tubes in Rosy Fishnets

4. Mac lip stick in Hug Me it’s a shade darker than my natural lip color. A pink-brown. Very cute.

5.Sephora Long Wear lipstick in Maniac No 3. Might be doing a review on this one soon.

Sephora Lip Liner in Pure Pinky 16 I use this to line the Long Wear Lipstick by Sephora as well as the Rosy Fishnets and Lorac Glosses. Very versatile liner which is why I keep it in my small bag.

6. Carol’s Daughter Natural Sexy Shine lip gloss in Bubbling Brown Sugar. Will also be sharing my thoughts on this one.

 

Now that is a list for you! I think I’m showing my lip gloss addiction here. I just counted and that’s 9 glosses! How many do you carry in your purse?

Must have product: MAC’s Prep and Prime Eye

This past weekend was gorgeous so hubby and I decided to drive about an hour and a half to Syracuse’s mall the Carousel. There are a few malls locally but this mall is about six floors high and is absolutely huge! It’s also home to my favorite store Forever 21 (which we have recently got our own in one of our malls) but what we don’t have is MAC in any of our local Macy’s. Which really could be a blessing or curse considering how much I like to spend there.

Of course I had to stop at my MAC counter while there and I first have to say that I love their makeup artists. They are so knowledgeable even with women of color. They are a great addition to the amazing line they have. Seriously if you haven’t checked it out yet you need to. I’ve written about MAC lots of times because I never am disappointed with the product and it’s still only $15 for a gloss or lipstick. Very affordable and makes you look fab!

So I get to the counter and this girl just got her whole face done. AMAZING! Not sure where she was going but she definitely had diva status! Just perfect and she was in love with it so much she was trying to give the makeup artist a $20 tip! Which she of course couldn’t take.  I’ve also gotten my makeup done for my wedding there.

Anyway this girl is helping me ( I usually know what I want if I didn’t I’d buy the whole place) so she helped me pick out a shadow (a bronze brown will show swatches later…love it!) and starts talking to me about this great eye primer. She shows me on her hands what it looks like and what the shadow looks like with and without it. I was sold! For only $16.50 that little tub will last you forever and will make your eye shadow last forever. I am really getting into shadows lately and with my oily lids (and summer coming) this is really a necessity for me. It comes in three different shades and is definitely worth it to make your makeup look amazing from morning to night!
