Moment of Silence
You may have noticed I have been absent this past week. Funny because in the almost four years of blogging on MTO (four years can you believe it!!) I have been thinking of taking a week break due to so many admin work I’d like to get to behind the scenes. Although I did end up taking a week off of blogging, it was unexpected.
I received a phone call last Sunday that my oldest brother, at 43 years young, passed away from a heart attack. He was a father of four, a religious man who had become a pastor of a church in Pennsylvania, where my family is currently living.
Words cannot express how my family and I are feeling this great loss. It was completely unexpected. I am comforted by the fact that he didn’t feel any pain. There are so many tragic ways to die and he died peacefully. He’s in a better place now and for that I am thankful.
I am also thankful for all the friends and family that showed love for my brother and our family. His church services were so packed people were standing at the back of the church to pay their respects. My family’s house was packed with family and friends as far as Florida coming to extend their condolences and spend time with my family. My brother was a man that was loved by many, and even people that haven’t seen him since his teenage years.
The biggest lesson I have learned from this is hug those people you love, because tomorrow is not promised!
