For this month’s Lowes Creator Challenge, I decided to work on the half bath downstairs. We did a gray black and chrome scheme when we first moved in but it was little things like new lighting and some wall tile that we found was missing. We had gotten a new sink, floor and painted it when we first remodeled but since I got kicked out of the upstairs bathroom (the makeup is out of control ya’ll) I moved everything downstairs. This is what it looks like now.
The lighting in this house hasn’t been updated since the 70’s. We’ve gone room by room and updated the lighting. This is one of the last lamps to be updated in the house. See the old before? I love the way our bathroom looked with the light gray paint and everything else. The lighting just give it that nice little extra. The icing on the cake.
There was this huge vanity in this small half bath that went wall to wall. When we first remodeled the bathroom and got a new sink we tore down the vanity. There was an uneveness to the wall afterwards (who knows how long that was there!) and I always wanted to get some tile to make it nicer. Hubby found the perfect metal tile for the wall. Goes great with all the other metal details in the bathroom.
The goal for doing this small remodel in the bathroom is that I got kicked out of the main bathroom. As a beauty and fashion blogger, you can only imagine the amount of products I get for review in the mail as well as what I purchase. So I moved all of my makeup downstairs.
Actually I think it’s grown since this picture was taken. Isn’t it great what some shelving and pretty brackets from Lowe’s can do? I also got baskets in different sizes for products I have to review as well as products I have to run giveaways for! So basically my bathroom has turned into a make shift office. But it’s so nice to do my makeup in there the lighting is perfect! Anyone else a makeup junkie that has this much storage?
