The holidays are my favorite time of year next to fall. Just keep the snow. But l live in Western NY so that is never going to happen.
To me holidays mean family time and giving back. And no holiday get together is complete without Coca-Cola. I like mine in my plastic holiday wine glass, thank you very much. Plastic because I have kids and I’m not allowed to have nice things.
Giving back to the community is a great way to get the family together and teach our kids to give back to those that are less fortunate. This holiday season, Coca-Cola is supporting the non-profit One Warm Coat, in their mission to donate half a million coats this holiday season. How can you be a part of this, you ask?
There are so many ways to volunteer your time or donate this holiday season.
Volunteering at the local shelters, soup kitchens, donating to domestic abuse shelters are all good ideas to give back during the holiday season. Getting the kids involved to donate toys or coats to those children less fortunate will help them continue to be grateful for the things they have. The list goes on and on! No matter the age, volunteering can be a great way to show kids that their small contribution can still make a huge impact! Even little things can be a huge thing for someone! Especially during the holidays!
Head on over to your nearest Walmart and purchase Coca-Cola for your family gatherings this season and continue the giving by showing how you are helping those in need. Is it just me, or are the holidays officially here when we see the snowflake design and Santa on our favorite Coca-Cola product?
You can also use Coca-Cola to help family members decide how to give back this holiday season. Simply write a name of a nonprofit organization, fold it and put it in the bottom of a half-liter bottle. When they reach for their Coca-Cola drink, they have also selected an organization to donate time or money to! Easy peasy!
Use #LayerOnLove across all social networks to help others figure out how they can best serve their community as the volunteering opportunities are endless!
How will you give back this holiday season?
