6 Beauty Bloggers Share the Best and Worst Buys of 2016

I didn’t really purchase as much makeup this year as I have done in the past. Shocking, I know. Mostly I worked on Project Pan and tried to limit my purchases because saving money and we were trying to purchase a new house this year. Thankfully, my sacrifice of avoiding my local Sephora, Ulta and MAC stores paid off! I did purchase the essentials though once I ran out. I tried a Too Faced Born This Way Foundation this summer but mostly if it wasn’t sent for review, I did not purchase it! Save the occasional lipstick though because I can’t seem to stop purchasing lipstick!

Best of 2016

I asked my favorite bloggers what were their favorite and least favorite makeup purchases of 2016. What I adore about this list is that there is a diverse mix of complexions so there is something for everyone on this list! Here’s what they said!

Alicia from Chica Fashion

Aveeno Positively Radiant Tinted Mositurizer and CC Cream in Medium. It’s my everyday makeup.

Urban Decay All Nighter Foundation in 8.0. I can use 1/2 a pump to 1 pump and have full coverage long lasting makeup.

ELF enchanted eye shadow. I use it as highlight.

Lillie from Jersey Fashionista

NARS Matte Velvet, Becca Champagne Pop, MUFE lip liners,  NYX liquid lip lingerie, Sephora brow pencil.

Rory from Mama Contemporanea

I didn’t like the Matte Colourpop, demasiado seco. (very drying….I totally agree but I love the price and color pigmentation)

Gemarla from The Mommy Elf

Cover|FX Pressed Mineral Foundation! First foundation I’ve used completely in less than 6 months!

Smashbox Liquid foundation. Total waste for me. Didn’t match my skin even though I got color matched at the store.

Ruya from Sweet Short And Stylish

I love the Kat Von D Lock it Concealer, Mac Lipstick in the shade Twig and L’Oreal Voluminous Superstar Liquid Eyeliner. I hated Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Aquaconcealer-way too light and sheer and creases.

Pascha from The Posh Blog

Loved Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder, NARS Velvet Matte Skin Tint, Too Faced Eye Shadow Insurance, DHC Deep Cleansing Oil and Pond’s Nourishing Moisturizer.

Fail: Black Opal Stick Concealer. It dries out quickly.

I don’t know about you, but I’ve added some items to my list that I’d like to purchase! There are some great products mentioned that I haven’t tried yet!

How about you? Did you have any great or awful makeup buys to share? Let’s see them in the comments!
