Spanish TV Update

Ok my noveleras, are you watching any novelas? I’m proud to say that I’ve gone from three to two to one. I am only watching Mi Pecado which is in its last chapters. Is anyone watching this telenovela? I think after this one is done I’m not going to be watching any telenovelas right now. I may be watching SiTV’s Model Latina. It’s set in NYC and starts on August 2. If you haven’t watched it, it’s in its third season where 15 beautiful Latinas compete to win similar to America’s Top Model with a Latino twist. I will be giving you weekly recaps and hopefully find some video for you in case you don’t get the channel SiTV. Which has become one of my favorite channels! I love that they are bilingual. For more info and to check out the girls, check out the SiTV website. They also have a funny show called Latino 101 and I caught the one about food. They have Godfrey teaching random Spanish words. HILAROUS! Check out the video!

Mami On the Go Episode One

  I have finally fixed alllll the issues I’ve been having and finally got the first episode of Mami on the Go together. Thanks to MCiscart who never let me give up! Miami Zoo a must for families

I took the boys with me to Miami. The event was only a few hours in the evening so we had the entire day and a half to explore. We went shopping and sight seeing. But our flight out was canceled so we made the best of it, rented a car booked a hotel for the night and took off to the zoo.

We spent close to four hours at the zoo. It was huge!!! I definitely recommend the zoo for families. It was definitely hot that day but there are little water spray stations all over the zoo as well as little water parks that are free. So I do advise that you bring an extra pair of clothes or a pair of swimsuits.
 
Here’s my little guy Booba enjoying the water spray!He loved the time at the zoo and was absolutely tired by the time we were ready to go. He could barely walk! So if you do have younger ones I do advise a stroller or a rental at the zoo. Booba is three and a half.
He also got to meet Diego which he was so excited about.

For you chicas in NYC or who have visited the Central Park Zoo…this zoo is twice as big and has so many animals. Even being there for four hours we still didn’t see everything. But we had to go because it was closing in about an hour and Booba was just pooped!

A con to Miami was definitely the traffic. Coming from a smaller city where the commute anywhere is about 20 minutes, spending an hour and a half on a 30 minute ride was a bit much. But definitely worth it! Have you been to the Miami Zoo? Talk about it in the comments!

Toy Story 3 Coming to Theaters in June

My three year old loves Toy Story. He loves “Buzzie” and owns a few Buzzies as well as his cute little undies. We already have Toy Story 1 and 2 on DVD and may make Toy Story 3 his first real movie theatre experience. It premiers on June 18, 2010. You will meet 14 new toys in this next installment. I can’t wait to get my BFF’s together and have little Mami and son triple dates with our boys! They are going to be all about this movie!

You can now watch all your favorite Univision shows online! Shows include Despierta America, Don Francisco Presenta, Mujeres Asesinas (which I admit looks intriguing but haven’t had time to watch), El Gordo y La Flaca, Primer Impacto and lots more! You can also watch a compilation of your favorite shows and what happened during the week. What a great idea for those of us who don’t have time to watch these shows when they originally air!

Busch Gardens Tampa Bay’s Sesame Street Safari of Fun

Tampa Bay’s Busch Gardens has opened up another family attraction. This great area includes a Sesame Street theme and is full of games for children, water attractions combined with a Safari theme. It’s definitely a can’t miss! I’m definitely heading out there this summer.

As you all know I’m a huge music addict. I have to listen to music while I blog, doing homework or at work. It’s crazy. You can find everything from Tupac to Mana to Aventura in my playlist. Here’s what I’m listening to right now.

Telenovela Juan Querendon on DVD

Hola my little telenovela addicts! Juan Querendon is out today March 9th on DVD! If you don’t remember this novela from Univision it stars Eduardo Santamarina from Rubi. Cesar Evora from En Nombre Del Amor also makes an appearance. I love the sound of that man’s voice!
