Telenovela Juan Querendon on DVD

Hola my little telenovela addicts! Juan Querendon is out today March 9th on DVD! If you don’t remember this novela from Univision it stars Eduardo Santamarina from Rubi. Cesar Evora from En Nombre Del Amor also makes an appearance. I love the sound of that man’s voice!

Recap on the last Chapter of Sortilegio

Ok so please tell me if it’s just me here. But I felt like I was missing something the last two weeks of Sortilegio. What the hell happened? The writers fell off or something. I felt like they were skipping information I was confused with the whole Bruno thing. One minute he’s in a shack with hay and the next they were on a beach fighting and there were guns involved? What? I know that novelas are full of action and if you blink you miss something but this was a bit much. Did anyone else feel like it was hurried? Like they were just ready to finish the novela? And it only lasted about four months the usual novela lasts at least six or more. Univision and Televisa get a fail for this. Especially when you’re going to have hottie William Levy in the novela why hurry it? Take your time let me get all that eye candy in! We wouldn’t have been mad about that! Sigh. Now waiting to see the next William Levy feature. Ese papi chulo esta como el quiere! Lol.

Purchase the theme song from En Nombre Del Amor

Laura Pausini is known for heartbreaking and heartfelt songs. The theme song from El Nombre Del Amor is not much different. En cambio no is the song played in the beginning and ending credits of En Nombre Del Amor. It’s off of her CD Primavera anticipada (Spanish Version). The CD was released on November 11, 2008 and can be found on Amazon. This is great for telenovela addicts, El Nombre Del Amor viewers and even non telenovela addicts. Laura Pausini has won many grammies and has an amazing voice. Check it out!

I’m so bad with the recaps but I must say that Carlota is a crazy biatch!! She just kills someone if they are in her way or she’s not getting her way. She uses people constantly. And the whole drama with Paloma is just ridiculous. Poor Gabriel is so sweet and he has to be dying? Why does everyone die on this poor girl! Romina is just a hot mess. I’m glad that her husband left her. She deserves everything that’s coming to her. And her dad Samuel is horrible as well. Stealing money from his own daughter! This novela is full of drama. It was moved from 8pm to 7pm. Ok so who’s watching?

This DVD was just released on 2/2/10 although it’s a classic telenovela created a decade ago. You can find Angelica Vale (Las Fea Mas Bella), Aracely Arambula and Laisha Wilkens (Un Gancho Al Corazon) in this novela. This is for my telenovela addicts out there! You can find lots of intrigue and love triangles that are usual in telenovelas.  There is also topics of drug trafficking and addictions as well as how it impacts families. Of course you can’t forget the man candy! You can also find Eduardo Verastegui and Kuno Becker in this novela.

Un Gancho Al Corazon Recap V

So this is the recap for January 19 I know I am a day (or two!) behind but bear with me I can’t figure out how to write posts remotely from email. That would be the only way to get you guys your telenovela fix! Ok so here goes….

In order to keep Constanza from finding out who Furia Enmascarada really is, Beto and Mauricio changed places. At the same time Monita and her friends hatched up a plan to get Mauricio out of the ring in case the wrestlers do get the mask off.

Jimena and her hubby are still together and he’s being a sweetheart with her. I think his brother is starting to like her. I mean like, like her like her. Jimena also gave some pretty good advice to Constanza’s younger sister about boys but she took it the wrong way. Constanza’s sister grabbed some of Constanza’s lingeries and tried to seduce Aldo. Looks like she was going to get her way but then she changed her mind last minute. Just nuts. As a mom I wasn’t too happy about that. Funny how your perspective changes when you become a mami!

Most of the novela was based on the wrestlers and the ring. In case I’m missing anything feel free to jump in. Also…check out youtube to find episodes of Un Gancho. Just in case you don’t have a DVR or VCR handy!

Un Gancho Al Corazon Recap IV

Un Gancho Al Corazon has been moved to 3pm which may make it impossible for some of you already hooked on this novela to continue to watch. Hopefully you have DVR or have set your DVD player to record but if not count on me to continue on with those daily recaps.

So Tano is back and seems interested in Estrella even though he’s told Aldo he’s not. Aldo and Estrella have broken up although Estrella is having Aldo’s baby. Aldo has no idea and Estrella is forbidding her friends la Monita and Paula to tell either Mauricio or Aldo.

Constanza has lost her baby and it’s all La Monita’s mom’s fault who is still alive and in Mexico. She hasn’t told Beto that she’s lost their baby.

Constanza has also paid some wrestlers fighting against Furia Emascarada ( who we all know is Mauricio) and Fantasma Vengador to take off Furia’s mask during their match. That chick is hell bent on proving herself right that Mauricio and Furia are the same person!

Update on Univision’s Sortilegio

I was watching my telenovelas this past week and I noticed that during the commercials played on New Year’s Day, Univision stated that Sortilegio was in it’s last weeks (ultimas semanas). What? Didn’t this novela just start on October 6th? I’m used to telenovelas lasting a few months but this must be the shortest telenovela run ever. And with such big stars I can’t believe it’s already in its final weeks.

 

This novela has definitely been full of drama, lots of shower and sex scenes, sometimes just way over the top. I know I’m definitely sitting out the next telenovela that takes its place. I haven’t seen any commercials for it yet but I’m sure they will play it in the next few weeks. Three novelas in a row when you’ve got so much on your plate is just way too much!

Cuidado Con El Angel on DVD

If you missed your fix of the love story between Marichuy and Juan Miguel (incredible hottie William Levy) and you can check out all my recaps of Cuidado Con El Angel or better yet, buy the DVD! It’s available on December 8, 2009 just in time for those telenovela addicts on your holiday list.. This was one of my favorite novelas…not too dramatic or too light hearted. Maite Perroni who played Marichuy and William Levy who played Juan Miguel won awards at the last TV Y Novelas awards show that was on Univision. If you didn’t check this novela out when it aired on Univision, you must check it out on DVD. A must to add to your telenovela collection!
