Great Game for those Rainy (And Snowy!) Days!
International Playthings loves to encourage indoor play that is fun and educational for the whole family!
Great for rainy or cold days when outside play isn’t an option, the “Who’s Missing” Calico Card Game brings Calico Critters popular line of favorite friends—like the Fisher Cats and Hopscotch Rabbits—to life in a new way!
For ages 3 and up, this classic card game involves memory, strategy, and of course, fun! Here’s how to play:
The dealer deals out 5 cards in a row. Players hide their eyes while the dealer takes away a card. Who can remember which critters are missing? As the game is played, the row of cards grows, so the game becomes more challenging the longer you play. Cards are also fun collector items for Calico Critters fans!

Saturday Steal: Coat
I’ve been on the hunt for a new coat even though winter is almost over. This is the best time to find great deals. Check out this cute coat I found at Victoria’s Secret. It was originally $148.88 and it’s now on clearance for $69.99. I was going to buy myself one but there are limited sizes left.
What do you think of this coat?

What are your favorite pair of jeans?
I have been lucky enough to lose some of the last of my “baby weight” in the past year (wait can you call it baby weight when you have a toddler?) but now my jeans are not fitting me correctly. I am on the hunt for the perfect pair of jeans because I wear jeans almost daily to work so they are an important part of my wardrobe. Although I’m going for dresses this spring and summer, I still need at least three good pair of jeans. Right now I have maybe two out of all my pairs that fit me well. Before I completely throw in the towel, I’m going on a hunt!
So in the comments section, give me some suggestions. What is your favorite brand? Right now I really don’t have one. Jeans come in different cuts and styles and you should definitely pick one that flatters your body type. I have a smaller waist (wepa!) and then curvy through the hips and thighs. If I can only get rid of my stomach that looks like a deflated balloon I would be so proud of myself right now! But instead I always have to go a size bigger so that my jeans fit me at the hips and thighs but then I either need a belt or they are literally falling off of me. Of course the trend right now is to wear belts over your clothes so there’s no way I will be wearing two belts!
I may start a series of post on my hunt for the best pair of jeans for us curvy chicas. So stay tuned!

Saturday Steal: Strappy Sandals
I am dreaming of a cruise or a getaway vacation to the Dominican Republic. I’ve been talking about going to see my family for months! So this post is inspired by my desire for a nice vacay. Check these shoes out from Shiekh Shoes. One of my co-workers put me on to this amazing web site and it’s my new favorite shoe site. Fab shoes for CHEAP! She did make an order and said it took a while for it to be delivered, possibly held up in customs since the company may be in Canada. For $39.97 and a few colors to choose from, this shoe is definitely a deal! I haven’t put my order in yet, there are so many shoes to choose from!

Product Review: Satina Hand Mirrors
These mirrors are a great compliment to the brushes that I reviewed from Brush Love. They come in great funky colors and can be held in your hand or snapped to become a desktop mirror. One side is regular and the other side is 3x magnification. This is great for either a quick touch up at the office or for your use at home. It’s 4.5 inches wide by 4 inches tall. The price is also perfect at $9.98. This is very handy for the makeup diva. It also comes in hot pink and lime green. Happy shopping!
Christmas Shopping at TJ Maxx!
This shopping excursion was sponsored by Rocket XL for TJ Maxx.
I’ve had a great opportunity to participate in a Secret Santa for bloggers! It was cool to shop for another fellow blogger although I don’t know her in real life. I received two $25 gift cards, one for my Secret Santa and the other for Christmas shopping. Hubby’s favorite store is now TJ Maxx so he used the $25 to buy himself some clothes. It was honestly a bit hard to shop for someone you don’t know and everything there had such great prices. I saw so many pretty things I wouldn’t have minded someone buying me for Christmas for less than $10!! The $25 gift card was more than enough to buy something.
So clothes were out of the question because I obviously
don’t know what her style is or her size. I was looking at frames and housewares which were priced very well. I ended up getting a very cute set of glass tumblers, two with candy cane design and the other two with a Santa design. They were only $2.99 each!!! I also got a very cool looking dip tray you can use for four different dips! Here are some pictures sorry about the quality I had to take it with my BlackBerry. My camera has no batteries.
But what do you think? I absolutely loved the glasses. I love cute things that you may not be able to find just anywhere. Even the cashier was admiring them. So I was able to buy four glass tumblers and the dip tray and still had enough left over to buy myself a very cute reusable bag for only 99 cents! And the bag was big enough to hold all the things I bought! While I was there I also got my sister in law a pretty candle holder set for the wall for $10. I also ended up seeing some cute things for my office in the basement that is still in construction. A very cute mod painting of audrey heburn in pink and brown and also cute sayings for the wall made out of mirror. Since my future office is going to be in the basement, the mirror sayings would work well to help the light bounce off the window.
Check out “Carol-Oke” where you can select from one of three carols, create your own video and upload for a chance to win a $5,000 shopping spree!
TJ Maxx is definitely the place to shop for the holidays! Now how to pack all these breakables so that they don’t break on the way over to my Secret Santa’s house…..
