We can sometimes fall into a rut with our day to day look. Maybe we’re too busy doing other things to notice or just don’t have a clue about what to do. Start with your hair. Have you visited a salon lately? Meaning….at all this year? J Try a visit to the salon and think about a new look. That can definitely jump start a makeover. If you’re a conservative chica then think of coloring your hair either a shade or two darker or lighter than your natural/current color. Or how about highlights? That’s a quick and inexpensive way to update your look. And it would be great for the summer. I just got rid of the redlights I had in my hair. I have dark black hair so the red really made it pop. Or if you’re too scared of changing colors how about a nice cut? New bangs? There’s endless possibilities for your hair and it can pull you out of that rut!
How about some new clothes? Sometimes we get so involved in what our kids need that we forget to buy ourselves something. If you don’t want to spend too much buy yourself a complete outfit: A top, bottoms, shoes and accessories. Try to stick to stuff that you can also incorporate into your current wardrobe. That way you can mix and match clothes and accessories. I have some Dot’s stores near me and they have great clothes for dressing up or down at good prices. I just spent $50 and bought three shirts some hair ties and a cute chain that would go well with two of the shirts I bought. I also have in mind what bottoms I can wear with those shirts that I currently have in my closet. Also shoes so I know I didn’t have to buy anything else. They’ve got sunglasses starting around $5. A good pair can definitely bring out the diva in you!
Accessories can go a long way in changing your look and they are pretty cheap. I have to confess I have lots of accessories in a jewelry box but all I usually wear is earrings besides my wedding rings. I have to remind myself of the necklaces, bracelets and other rings that I do own. Stores like Claire’s and Forever 21 carry lots of cool things at great prices. What stores do you think have great deals?
