Wear Music as Bracelets

You can wear your music with new candy-colored Fashion Bracelets. They are one size fits all and unisex bracelets that are made from guitar strings. You can mix and match the colors to coordinate with your favorite outfits. They are cheap at $9.99 and a percentage of the profits are donated to charities that support music. They come in black, silver, gold, teal, purple, pink, red and patriotic (a red white and blue combo). I love that this is something different and it could be a great addition to your wardrobe. Also think of Christmas gifts for those teens and pre teens in your family that may love music. You could be the coolest Tia/Mami/Abuela/Hermana ever!
Bag, Borrow or Steal: It’s like Netflix for Purses!
Right now we are all trying to save as much as we can and sometimes what takes the biggest hits are our extras, the beauty products and accessories that we love to frost ourselves with. It’s so hard to justify a $100 purse especially when we are struggling to get by.
Bag Borrow or Steal is a site that has been around for a long while but was made famous in the Sex & The City Movie. If you haven’t watched the movie or missed that part where Jennifer Hudson’s character introduces you to this fab find, let me explain it to you.
Bag Borrow or Steal is a web site where you pay a membership fee and check out the purses you want to borrow. You keep the purse for as long as you like and then return it to get the next purse on your list. It’s a bit like Netflix. They also have tiered membership depending on the brands you’d like to borrow. Monthly memberships start as low as $25 a month. With membership you get exclusive sales of the handbags and first pick at the new arrivals. Of course they have all the great brands, from Betsey Johnson to Coach to Juicy Couture.
Now if you are like me who is a bit commitment-phobe and don’t know if $25/month can work for you, they do have guest pricing but it’s a bit pricey. So if you wanted to try it out and see if this would work for you, you can get a cute purse for $40/month. Or pay $21 for one week.
Bag Borrow or Steal is now known as Avelle. Taking a look at their web site I can tell you it is very user friendly and apart from handbags you can rent sunglasses, jewelry, and can shop by trend or event to find exactly what you are looking for. There is also an option to search by designer and new arrivals. When you click on a purse for more details they show you a picture of the purse and also a small mannequin holding the purse so you can see the true size of the purse.
Right now they are having a sale! 50% handbags jewelry and purses!! It’s their semi-annual Outlet sale and they have 100′s of gently used and new merchandize. This could be a great way to stay fashionable on a budget! They do ask for name and email in order to be able to check out the sale.
I also wanted to add about the “Steal” part. If you do borrow a handbag and you decide you love it and you can’t part with it they can sell it to you and you can get a good price! Definitely less than what you’d pay at the store.
Has anyone used Avelle/Bag Borrow or Steal before? What are your thoughts of this Netflix for purses?
