Laura Pausini is known for heartbreaking and heartfelt songs. The theme song from El Nombre Del Amor is not much different. En cambio no is the song played in the beginning and ending credits of En Nombre Del Amor. It’s off of her CD Primavera anticipada (Spanish Version). The CD was released on November 11, 2008 and can be found on Amazon. This is great for telenovela addicts, El Nombre Del Amor viewers and even non telenovela addicts. Laura Pausini has won many grammies and has an amazing voice. Check it out!

I’m so bad with the recaps but I must say that Carlota is a crazy biatch!! She just kills someone if they are in her way or she’s not getting her way. She uses people constantly. And the whole drama with Paloma is just ridiculous. Poor Gabriel is so sweet and he has to be dying? Why does everyone die on this poor girl! Romina is just a hot mess. I’m glad that her husband left her. She deserves everything that’s coming to her. And her dad Samuel is horrible as well. Stealing money from his own daughter! This novela is full of drama. It was moved from 8pm to 7pm. Ok so who’s watching?

I really wanted to focus on holiday gift guides especially since I’ve been finding some great products for review. So until the new year, I’m going to sadly not do any telenovela recaps. En Nombre Del Amor Recap III

Ok so who’s watching this one with me? I love the provincial Mexico part of this novela. It just seems like it’s set back in the day but it’s not. So Paloma and Emiliano are finally together but no one knows yet. Paloma made the decision after catching Romina and Herman together. She realized that Romina doesn’t care for Emiliano as much as she’s said she does. Here are some other highlights:

 

- Romina is still after Emiliano but playing with Herman.
-Paloma found out that Macarena is actually her aunt and not her mother. Did I call that one or what?
-Macarena found out her true love is actually alive and her sister lied to her. He is actually the new priest that came to town. And he’s also….drum roll please….Paloma’s dad. They don’t know that yet.
-Romina’s mom is torn between two men. One is Emiliano’s dad who hasn’t gotten divorced from his wife yet and the other is Emiliano’s boss.
-Emiliano’s true father is…drum roll please…his BOSS! But he doesn’t know that yet. Neither does his boss.

Latest thing that happened? Carlotta, upset about how Macarena was getting her man (again) threw her from the glass wall upstairs at the landing. She hit her head on the fountain on the way down and is in a coma. I don’t know how Carlotta can stoop so low especially when Cristobal (aka the love of Macarena’s and Carlotta’s lives, aka Padre Juan) straight up told her that he never loved her and never will. She said if she can’t have him…well you know the rest. Crazy biatch! This novela is pure drama. Until the next recap!

En Nombre Del Amor Recap II

I have been so behind on my novela recaps! I realized I’ve only done one recap of En Nombre Del Amor and that novela is getting juicy! Some points…

· Paloma is being lied to by Carlotta her aunt. She’s got money but Carlotta always told her she was an inconvenience due to being poor.

· Paloma defies Carlotta by having a boyfriend, Iñaki.

· Carlotta fights Paloma about it but her other aunt, Macarena is happy for her.

· Paloma decides to marry Iñaki.

· Carlotta in the end pretends to like Iñaki, but at the rehearsal dinner, poisons all his drinks with belladonna. This was the night before the wedding.

· Iñaki dies the day of the wedding.

So Paloma is in her wedding dress crying over Iñaki on his death bed. Their mutual friend, Emiliano who goes out with Paloma’s,  BFF Romina is in love with Paloma. Emiliano and Romina broke up for a while because she was cheating on him with a good friend. I forget his name right now. But he is in love with Paloma and others are starting to notice such as his mother and even Romina doesn’t like the fact that he seems to be Paloma’s knight in shining armor every time she’s crying or for example the wedding and funeral he was the one to hold her up and be by her side. Romina is a very jealous girl who likes all attention to be on her and it really annoys her that Paloma’s got his attention.

Alright so who’s watching with me? What do you think so far?

First Recap of En Nombre Del Amor

What did you think of En Nombre Del Amor? It seems to be one of those pretty dark and dramatic telenovelas. The main girl Paloma is orphaned and staying with her aunts Carlotta and Macarena. Carlotta is a sour biatch and Macarana is a sweetheart. But Carlotta is Paloma’s custodial parent and is really controlling and overbearing with everyone. Between her attitude and the purple makeup she was made to be hated on. Seriously.

There is a big secret surrounding this novela. Here’s my guess. If you don’t like spoilers don’t read! The big secret is (in my opinion) that Macarena and Carlotta loved the same guy the guy that is a priest now. He chose Macarena and he is her baby daddy. Who is the baby you ask? Paloma! I truly believe this! This is why Paloma stayed with the aunts. And they just look too much alike it can’t be coincidence in my opinion!

Ok you can read now if you stopped reading for the spoiler possibility. It did take me an episode or two to warm up to it but I am definitely hooked! Un Gancho is a lighter drama and I haven’t watched something this dark in a while. Carlotta is a true villian. This novela is also set in a small town instead of the big cities of Guadalajara or Mexico.

So Paloma’s BFF Romina practically threw herself at Emiliano. And my gut instinct is that Emiliano actually likes Paloma and that’s going to be a huge breaking point for Paloma’s and  Romina’s relationship.

This novela aka ENDA already ended in Mexico. What do you think of it so far? Is it a must see or a pass? This one may last around 9 months.
