This product was sent by Febreze but I have not been compensated for its review. Mami’s Time Out never receives compensation for reviews. You can always count on an honest product review from Mami’s Time Out..

p_candle_cranberry This summer, I received the Febreze Flameless Luminary which I loved. I have now received some holiday scents for review. As the holidays approach, your family starts pouring in and we know that we’d like our house to smell and look good. Especially when you finish cleaning your home, an air freshener is almost like the icing on the cake. The holiday edition I received is cranberry pear. This smells so yummy and the Christmas design on the shade is very cute and a great touch. It can blend in with the rest of your holiday decorations. As always, the fragrance is just enough and not over the top.

Also, if you send in six used Febreze Flameless Luminary Shades, you can receive a coupon for a free two-pack refill. Log on to Febreze for more information on the Show Us Your Shades program.

Here are some holiday tips from Sebastien Centner, Canada’s premier home entertaining guru:

1. A signature drink for your party is a great way to simplify and save money-llok for a recipe that features fall flaveors like apple, pear or cranberry.
2. It’s easy and economical to decorate for a fall event-use pumpkins, gourds, eggplants and other autumn harvest items like lavendar and berry branches.

Product Review: Febreeze Flameless Luminary

IMG00027 I was greeted with a box from Febreeze one day that included the Flameless Luminary in Green Tea Citrus. It was beautifully packaged in a tray. Here’s a picture. Anyway I was excited to get this in the mail because I absolutely love Febreeze, every product I have or received for review has been great and does what it claims to do.

Well, I had a cat whose litter box was in the powder room downstairs. I ended up giving the cat away but the odor was sticking around even after mopping and opening windows. I did just about everything I could in there but even my Mami (and you know how mothers are!) told me that the smell still lingered in there. So needless to say, I was very excited to receive and try out this Flameless Luminary and knew exactly where to put it. I turned it on and left the bathroom door open to see how strong the scent was. Not only did it eliminate the odor but you can smell the scent throughout the dining room and living room.  It also automatically shuts off after four hours which I think is a great plus. And it’s battery operated so you don’t have to worry about placing it close to an electrical outlet.

It has such a great contemporary design that I’m sure you can find a scent and design to suit your home. Another great product from Febreeze! Huge thumbs up from Mami’s Time Out!

Febreze Destination Collections Review

I had the opportunity to review Febreze’s Christmas limited collection which smelled good.  I now had the opportunity to review their line for Spring and Summer called Destination Scents . I liked the Christmas collection but I LOVE this collection.

As far as air freshener is concerned I do like to use a mix of the sprays and plug ins when needed. I love to come home to a great smell and not the smell of garbage or stale food. I also like clean scents. I hate the fake bouquet scents that some air fresheners come out with in the Spring and Summer. I rather just go out and buy a bouquet if I want my house to smell like flowers. Honestly I buy a Jasmine plant they smell so good at night and it’s a natural air freshener! Of course it doesn’t have the intensity of these air fresheners.

I get the package and it’s packaged beautifully! Here’s a picture. It looks like those wooden boxes but it’s definitely still a cardboard box. It’s so cute I’m keeping it I can’t bear to throw it out! Very clever packaging that went with the Destination theme. Included in my package was a Brazilian Carnival Air Effects, A Moroccan NOTICEables plug-in, and a Hawaiian Aloha candle.

Now I don’t have to tell you how well these products work because we know Febreeze is the best when it comes to eliminating odors. But these scents? Boy do they smell amazing! I immediately plugged in the NOTICEables to test it out on my family. My husband is more of a critic than I am so I asked him what he thought of the smell. He agreed that it smelled great. After a long day yesterday I come home and was greeted by that great scent as soon as I walked in the door! The key is to place it in a strategic place in your home where you can get the greatest effect.

I’m using the air effects Brazilian carnival theme upstairs in my bathroom and bedrooms. Having a toddler in diapers can really make for a stinky situation. It smells like berries, the Acai berry that people like to drink. I also like to use the powder fresh air effects in my toddler’s bedroom. It smells like Babies. :)

These scents smell different from any other. The Moroccan smells like spice and musk without being overpowering or smelling like cologne. They are all lighter clean scents but the scents are nothing I’ve ever smelled before! My favorite is the Hawaiian Aloha. It just smells like summer! Stay tuned I may give away my favorite, the Hawaiian Aloha candle which lasts about 30 hours! Another great job Febreze! Looks like I’ll be using you all summer long!

Febreze Holiday Scents Review

Just in time for las fiestas (the Holidays) I get a nice package in the mail. Of course hubby is already asking me what I bought this time but actually this time I got a nice package from Febreze. They sent me a holiday limited edition scents for me to try out and review on Mami’s Time Out. I thought I was just going to get one thing but I got:

  1. Febreze Air Effects in “Winter Fresh and Warm Nights”
  2. Febreze Noticeables in “Apple Spice and Holly Berries”
  3. Febreze Candles in “Winter Fresh and Warm Nights”

I am already a Febreze user I love using it in my son’s room. You know how toddler’s rooms can smell after a diaper change! Other air fresheners just spray but don’t eliminate the odor. Nothing’s worse than smelly diapers than smelly diapers mixed with flowers. I like to compare it to when a person doesn’t bathe and just throws cologne on. It doesn’t hide the stench, instead it makes a brand new stench. I’m sure everyone knew that one kid in High School that did this!

Anyway, I got this just in time for my Christmas Eve party. I used the Air Effects around the house and I immediately got hubby’s reaction: He didn’t like it. I didn’t see what was wrong with the smell, he thought it was too strong and smelled like cologne. Oh well, I liked it! Before my dinner guests showed, I plugged in the Noticeables in my living room. I strategically placed it so that you can not only smell it in the living room but also on the way in and up the stairs. I never tried this product before so I wanted to see how it was going to work. It did exactly what it says! You do get used to the regular plug ins that you may have so unless you leave your house and return that’s when you smell your plug in. You really noticed the smell with the noticeables. I had it on the low setting and I could smell it on the stairway and on the way in. You can also notice the change in smell but it’s not overpowering. They blend beautifully. Hubby wasn’t complaining about this one.
The scent of Christmas filled the air along with smell of cooking and baking. It was the perfect backdrop to my holiday party! You can find these at your local CVS or Walgreen’s or Wal-Mart for less than $10. Check it out for yourself you definitely won’t be disappointed!
