Christmas Shopping at TJ Maxx!

This shopping excursion was sponsored by Rocket XL for TJ Maxx.

I’ve had a great opportunity to participate in a Secret Santa for bloggers! It was cool to shop for another fellow blogger although I don’t know her in real life. I received two $25 gift cards, one for my Secret Santa and the other for Christmas shopping. Hubby’s favorite store is now TJ Maxx so he used the $25 to buy himself some clothes. It was honestly a bit hard to shop for someone you don’t know and everything there had such great prices. I saw so many pretty things I wouldn’t have minded someone buying me for Christmas for less than $10!! The $25 gift card was more than enough to buy something.

dip So clothes were out of the question because I obviously

don’t know what her style is or her size. I was looking at frames and housewares which were priced very well. I ended up getting a very cute set of glass tumblers, two with candy cane design and the other two with a Santa design. They were only $2.99 each!!! I also got a very cool looking dip tray you can use for four different dips! Here are some pictures sorry about the quality I had to take it with my BlackBerry. My camera has no batteries.glass But what do you think? I absolutely loved the glasses. I love cute things that you may not be able to find just anywhere. Even the cashier was admiring them. So I was able to buy four glass tumblers and the dip tray and still had enough left over to buy myself a very cute reusable bag for only 99 cents! And the bag was big enough to hold all the things I bought! While I was there I also got my sister in law a pretty candle holder set for the wall for $10. I also ended up seeing some cute things for my office in the basement that is still in construction. A very cute mod painting of audrey heburn in pink and brown and also cute sayings for the wall made out of mirror. Since my future office is going to be in the basement, the mirror sayings would work well to help the light bounce off the window.

Check out “Carol-Oke” where you can select from one of three carols, create your own video and upload for a chance to win a $5,000 shopping spree!

TJ Maxx is definitely the place to shop for the holidays! Now how to pack all these breakables so that they don’t break on the way over to my Secret Santa’s house…..

Exchange gifts easily online

elves I swear there’s a website for everything! And the websites out there right now are extremely smart and I wonder why people didn’t think of these things before. (And by people, I mean me. :) ) I just got some info on Elfster which is a cool new way to start Secret Santa or any kind of gift exchange online! It would be perfect for la prima in Mexico or Santo Domingo, or la tia in Miami or in my case, mami in Pennsylvania. It’s simple and easy to sign up.

1) Sign-Up – create a log-in and password
2) Enter in the emails of friends, co-workers or family members you want included in the exchange
3) Click "send invitation" and an email will go out to each individual with the name of the person they are buying the gift for

If your family is spread out across the world (which is the case now a days) a great way to stay connected and become more social around the holidays is by using Elfster. All you have to do after signing up is Organize, Wish and Shop!

Another great shopping tool!

This is just another great tool to help you with your Holiday shopping. Spinvox converts voice into text so you can share your fab finds with your amigas and familia that is also shopping with you. My SIL and I are huge bargain shoppers I can totally see us splitting up at a store and using this to keep in touch with holiday finds and bargains. Especially on a chaotic day like Black Friday it would be great. With crowds and noise you may or may not hear it ring. And if it’s on vibrate you still may not hear each other well enough on the other line.
You can use this throughout the year as well to remind you of important events and tasks that you don’t want to forget.

Right now SpinVox is available to Alltell and Cincinnati Bell subscribers for a price of $5.99 a month for unlimited use. This service is also free for anyone who wishes to update their blog or social network. Another great way to use this! If you are interested in a free trial, let me know and I can get you in touch with someone. Just leave a comment. ;)

Benefit Cosmetics Holiday Gift Guide

Benefit Cosmetics LLCBenefit Cosmetics has got a holiday gift guide for you! This very handy guide can help you pick some beauty gifts out to your familia y amigas. You can shop by theme (stocking stuffers, top sellers, party pleasers) or you can shop by price (gifts under $20, $20-$30, $30-$40 and over $40) and you can even pick a gift that’s wrapped and ready to go. You can also sign up for their email updates or you can request a catalog. Check it out! There may be something for all the gorgeous gals on your list!

While wandering around the website I saw that there are lots of gifts to choose from in the under $20 from makeup tools to mascara, lip gloss, eye shadow and lipstick. I must say I love Benefit for their clever packaging but their makeup always felt like it was for the more intermediate makeup wearer to me. You know what I’m saying? But I found this:and I may just put it on my wish list. It’s called Primpcess and it includes concealing, contouring brushes the famous Badgal mascara and it also has a step by step instruction included so you can get stunning eyes!

Speaking of stunning eyes, BadGal mascara also comes in Plum! I think this would be a great look for the olive skinned brown eyed Latina. It would definitely bring out your brown eyes and it would be a bit more daring than wearing black. But I think it would still be definitely suitable for work. It’s under $20! What do you think about this one?
