This product was sent by Febreze but I have not been compensated for its review. Mami’s Time Out never receives compensation for reviews. You can always count on an honest product review from Mami’s Time Out..

p_candle_cranberry This summer, I received the Febreze Flameless Luminary which I loved. I have now received some holiday scents for review. As the holidays approach, your family starts pouring in and we know that we’d like our house to smell and look good. Especially when you finish cleaning your home, an air freshener is almost like the icing on the cake. The holiday edition I received is cranberry pear. This smells so yummy and the Christmas design on the shade is very cute and a great touch. It can blend in with the rest of your holiday decorations. As always, the fragrance is just enough and not over the top.

Also, if you send in six used Febreze Flameless Luminary Shades, you can receive a coupon for a free two-pack refill. Log on to Febreze for more information on the Show Us Your Shades program.

Here are some holiday tips from Sebastien Centner, Canada’s premier home entertaining guru:

1. A signature drink for your party is a great way to simplify and save money-llok for a recipe that features fall flaveors like apple, pear or cranberry.
2. It’s easy and economical to decorate for a fall event-use pumpkins, gourds, eggplants and other autumn harvest items like lavendar and berry branches.

SmartyPig is a new way to bank, with tons of extra value to users. They can save socially by making goals public on Facebook and other popular sites, earn top interest, and earn cash back from more than 25 top retailers. Users earn extra cash boosts on the money they’ve put toward each goal, and Monday’s partnership will deliver unprecedented value. They have partnered with Overstock.com to provide gift cards as an option instead of cash. This would give your savings a boost of 6% (if you saved $100 you’d get $106 as a gift card option plus the interest earned through SmartyPig) You can also get the 6% if you purchase gift cards through Amazon, Royal Caribbean, Pottery Barn, Best Buy and Home Depot.
So what kind of interest rate are you looking at with going through SmartyPig? They offer a highly competitive 3.95% APY and once you reach your savings goals your money can be redeemed three ways:

·         Receive savings plus interest on the flexible SmartyPig MasterCard Debit Card (which can be used anywhere MasterCard is accepted, including ATMs – for withdrawals only)

·         Have savings plus interest returned to the bank account they use to fund their SmartyPig goals via Electronic Funds Transfer (ACH)

·         Stretch savings dollars even further, receiving savings plus interest on a gift card from some of the country’s top retailers
