I hope you had a great and tasty Thanksgiving yesterday surrounded by fun, food and family. In lieu of Hottie of the Week I would love to do a Black Friday post. I did a bit of shopping at my local Walgreen’s for some stuff (don’t sleep on Walgreen’s I got some really great holiday décor stuff there and some buen preicos!) Plus if you’re only going for some stuff it’s like the smaller version of Wal-Mart. And for me, it’s conveniently located five minutes away. Love love love it!
I will share my shopping deals in tomorrow’s post but I would love to know: What was your best find on Black Friday? What did you want to get and how much did you get it for? This bargainista loves deals I can’t wait to read all your comments!

Another great shopping tool!

This is just another great tool to help you with your Holiday shopping. Spinvox converts voice into text so you can share your fab finds with your amigas and familia that is also shopping with you. My SIL and I are huge bargain shoppers I can totally see us splitting up at a store and using this to keep in touch with holiday finds and bargains. Especially on a chaotic day like Black Friday it would be great. With crowds and noise you may or may not hear it ring. And if it’s on vibrate you still may not hear each other well enough on the other line.
You can use this throughout the year as well to remind you of important events and tasks that you don’t want to forget.

Right now SpinVox is available to Alltell and Cincinnati Bell subscribers for a price of $5.99 a month for unlimited use. This service is also free for anyone who wishes to update their blog or social network. Another great way to use this! If you are interested in a free trial, let me know and I can get you in touch with someone. Just leave a comment. ;)

I want my own line! How about you?

Ok so I’m in the asking questions type of mood. If you had a fashion line (or accessory line, shoe line, makeup line….insert fave here) what would you do different than the big guys? How would you tailor your line to the Latin community?

I’ve previously written a post about shoes (and my love of them) in this post called “A Girl Can Dream Right?”
If I would have been a famous actress/singer/model or your favorite actress/singer/model’s baby momma I would have loved to have a great shoe line! Carlos Santana has a shoe line and let me tell you….honestly…..it sucks. Sorry Carlos. I try to be nice, but I really got to keep it real. Usually there’s one or two shoes in a line that you’d think to yourself (or to your friend next to you) what the hell where they thinking when they designed that? I mean really you can’t please everyone. But look here for his shoes and tell me what you think.

Are You an Ebay Shopper?

I love Ebay. Especially when it comes to electronics you can get a decent price and just about anything. I bought a 4gb iPod Mini for $40 and when I decided to upgrade about a year later I got the same price when I sold it on Ebay! I also bought my hubby recently a new phone on Ebay. He wanted the Sidekick from T-Mobile which he’s wanted for years now. Even though we just got our Blackberries a year ago he doesn’t get as much use out of it like I do and prefers the Sidekick’s features. I sure wasn’t going to spend $350 at the store for it! I got it on Ebay for half the price! I love a good sale!
What’s the best thing you’ve ever won on Ebay? Do you have any good or bad experiences? Please share!

Save money shopping!

I am always thinking of ways to cut down on my spending while still looking like a million bucks! I’m sure I’m not alone here and I figure I’d share some useful links on ways to minimize your spending on beauty and how to add to your fall wardrobe without breaking the bank.Of course we all want to look great without going deep in debt and there are easy ways to do this. Fall is one of my favorite seasons because of the clothes. I like summer clothes but the fall clothes can get very sophisticated and work friendly for those of us who work outside of the home. I know with all the trends happening this fall you may want to jump into everything but just use your instinct in picking your new pieces. This article says bows are big this season. I don’t think I’ll be trying that out. But tweed, jackets, distressed jeans this definitely screams Jai! And since I can dress down for work I will definitely take advantage of both dress up and dress down outfits that are great this season. I absolutely love Audrina (from the Hills) outfit in this article so I can definitely see myself wearing that to work. (Minus the shades of course!)

Now, patent leather ankle boots? Not too sure about that. I love the ankle boots and the patent leather but together not so much. I did buy the cutest pair of patent leather pumps this weekend. And I’m definitely looking into a pair of ankle boots to add to my shoe collection.

I’ve been dying for a pencil skirt and I think I may just stop thinking and finally go get one this season! That’s a classic and for work it will be hot! You can be all library chic with glasses and a pencil in your hair. :)

iVillage is also giving you ideas on how to incorporate this season’s fab color into your wardrobe. Purple is in this season and they’ve got lots of ideas on how you can put this color to good use! Check out iVillage Stuff we Love for more info!
