Q&A With MyShoes.com

I was recently able to ask a few questions to Andrea Woroch, of Myshoes. I learned that she loves shoes just as much as I do! I must say when I am looking for a specific pair of shoes, this is one of the first sites I go to! Cuts your time in half! Enjoy!

What made you think about starting a site like Myshoes?
From our shopping experiences, we knew that the selection of shoes on the Web can be a bit overwhelming and we wanted to create a resource that offered all the options in one place and provided customized search settings with streamlined results.  By utilizing our company’s discount coupon site, PromotionalCodes, we were able to apply a money-saving element with the coupon integration, which adds any coupon codes to the final price.  By combining all these elements, we are able to help women will find the perfect pair of shoes at the lowest price quickly and easily. Plus, being mostly women in the office, shoes were the first thing to come up during our brainstorm!

How long has myshoes been live?
We officially launched myShoes.com this past February.

What is your ultimate goal regarding myshoes?
We want myShoes.com to be the first thought that comes to every woman’s mind when she thinks about shoes – - which could be a few hundred times per day (or is that just me?)!

How many pairs of shoes do you own?

Since becoming fully consumed by the launch of myShoes (I may be our site’s biggest fan!), I’ve added five pairs of shoes to my collection. When you are looking at and talking about shoes all day long, it’s hard to resist a cute pair of summery espadrilles or sexy heels – especially when there’s a great deal to be had.  However, I try to keep my closet current and donate shoes that haven’t been worn to the local shelter.

What are some of this season’s trends? (include images if you can)
Summer is such a fun season for shoes! Here are three top trends:
mantonio Nudes: Shoes in nude hues are ultra flattering because the skin tone color creates a continuous line that makes legs look longer and leaner.  Aim for a nude within a few shades of skin color. For night, nudes can shimmer with a touch of gold.  Try nudes as peep-toe heels, sky-high platforms and caged sandals for a trendy look. Picture:

Michael Antonio Tinsley available for $48.

tuxedo Oxfords: Menswear-inspired pieces are hot for summer.  Think structured twills and relaxed separates like vests, trench coats, and trouser pants.  You can get in on the trend with oxford shoes which are among the easiest of trendy shoes to wear.
Steve Madden Tuxxedo, a great flat style for $47

charlesdavid Charles David Canny Spectator offers a peep-toe and sling back style perfect for Spring & Summer weather –

yachtt Nautical: The Nautical trend is taking over with stripes and rope detail plus lots of the traditional red, white and blue colors. Look for gold metal details, rope-like accents, grosgrain ribbon trim and wood or cork soles – a great style for day.
Steve Madden Yachtt in Navy Blue (available at myShoes.com with an exclusive 20% off code for only $39!)

Mami’s Note: Aren’t those Michael Antonio’s hot for only $48! I’m looking for a hot pair of nude shoes! If you are looking for a new pair, you definitely need to check out this site! They will find it for you and for the best price!

Product Review: Kushyfoot Flats to Go

43-flats-to-go OK so let me set the scene. You are out and having a great time. You’ve got your killer heels on and are dancing your ass off. You’re also dancing your feet off because you’re feet are hurting. BAD! And it’s not like you can just take them off in the middle of the club/street because that would be absolutely gross. But it’s not like you can throw a pair of flip flops in your cute little night out purse or clutch.

A huge problem solver are these Kushyfoot Flats to Go. At only $8.99 they fold in half and come in their own carrying case. About the size of a Blackberry or iPhone, it fits discreetly in your purse ready to be used as needed. They also have a cushier sole than a pair of flip flops. A must in every chica’s purse who may have a night out. They come in a basic black so you don’t have to worry about the possibility of the shoes clashing with your outfit. Although I’d be more excited to have my feet in a pair of cushy flats that wonder if they match or not. ;)

boots I am just finishing up this brutal class and decided to do some online retail therapy. I love online shopping for two things: 1. I don’t have the time to spend at a store to shop around 2. I LOVE getting things in the mail. So I just went on a little spree on two of my favorite stores, one of which is Charlotte Russe. I got two pairs of shoes buy one get one for $15. Score! I got a cute pair of high boots and another pair of peep toe booties. Check them out here

I am dreaming of a cruise or a getaway vacation to the Dominican Republic. I’ve been talking about going to see my family for months! So this post is inspired by my desire for a nice vacay. Check these shoes out from Shiekh Shoes. One of my co-workers put me on to this amazing web site and it’s my new favorite shoe site. Fab shoes for CHEAP! She did make an order and said it took a while for it to be delivered, possibly held up in customs since the company may be in Canada. For $39.97 and a few colors to choose from, this shoe is definitely a deal! I haven’t put my order in yet, there are so many shoes to choose from!

Fall Boots Under $50!

I love to find deals! I handpicked all these boots you can find them online at stores like Target, Charlotte Russe. I love the two buckle boots I may have to visit Charlotte Russe this fall. What do you think of my picks? Also I feel like open toed boots are a bit head scratching ( I mean if you’re wearing boots, then it’s cold so the open toes would kind of defeat the purpose?) But I do like these, they look more like shoes than boots.

Lusting after: Basic Shoes

Aren’t we women always lusting after shoes? I’ve been online window shopping and here are a few I have found that will be very cute for fall.

ZJS167_MAINTHUMB Jessica Simpson: Brenda $69.99 These are very cute, even for work. I would definitely rock these with a pair of jeans.

taupe Restricted: Ashley Pump $54.99. If you don’t have a pair of taupe heels for those jeans you need a pair. I still need mine. These may be the ones for me. Perfect heel at 3 3/4 inch ( I find that height the most comfy) and just a basic pair. Loves these.

carlos Carlos By Carlos Santana: Confide $59.99. These are very cute and versatile. Can be worn with skirts, dresses, pants, and jeans. I really like these and they would look hot with or without tights.

BP-BD94340_Black_front Baby Phat: Cynthia $69.00. You know it wouldn’t be a legitimate post from me if I didn’t mention my favorite brand. I like these they are a bit funky but not over the top.

So what do you think of my basics for fall? Have your own to add to the list?

On my Shopping List: Marc Ecko Genie Sneaker

Ok we all know my obsession with sneakers. These sneakers by Marc Ecko are just another reason why I am obsessed. They are similar to the Ed Hardy sneakers except these are good for you ladies who want to be a bit trendy but not too daring. Instead of the huge multicolored skulls and flower tats of the Ed Hardy signature sneaker, these are a bit more low key but still pack enough of a bang. I can actually see myself wearing these to work. Their black and white converse look really works and the studs are in season! You can wear these with shorts or jeans and a nice top! What are your thoughts on these sneakers? You can find them at Zappos for $56.

Spring Shoe Trends: Gladiators

This trend was with us last year but it seems a bit more updated for this season. I wasn’t interested in a pair last year but the versions they have coming up this year are pretty appealing to me. They also come in heels I know some people call this one the cut-out trend but to me they still look like gladiators in heel form. Here I’ll share a few of my faves in different price ranges. I’m sure if you like this trend you will find the perfect pair for you at the perfect price. What do you think of this trend? Do you like it or do you hate it as much as I hate flats?

Here’s a rocked out version from Forever 21for $16.99.

Here’s a high heeled version from Heels.com for $69.99

Patent leather gladiators from Newport News

Stone encrusted gladiator high heel from Victoria’s Secret $139

My Jbandme Shoes

Lisa asked me to wear the shoes. I had to dress up for work today so I figure I take advantage and wear my shoes again and hope that hubby will take the picture. Well he actually took the picture and emailed it to me! I’m so proud of him! Here is a picture with my Jbandme shoes dressed up. Like I said you can probably dress them down with a cute pair of jeans and also wear them with a skirt. I get compliments on these shoes every time I wear them! And the heel is a good size/width.
