I am dreaming of a cruise or a getaway vacation to the Dominican Republic. I’ve been talking about going to see my family for months! So this post is inspired by my desire for a nice vacay. Check these shoes out from Shiekh Shoes. One of my co-workers put me on to this amazing web site and it’s my new favorite shoe site. Fab shoes for CHEAP! She did make an order and said it took a while for it to be delivered, possibly held up in customs since the company may be in Canada. For $39.97 and a few colors to choose from, this shoe is definitely a deal! I haven’t put my order in yet, there are so many shoes to choose from!

Fall Boots Under $50!

I love to find deals! I handpicked all these boots you can find them online at stores like Target, Charlotte Russe. I love the two buckle boots I may have to visit Charlotte Russe this fall. What do you think of my picks? Also I feel like open toed boots are a bit head scratching ( I mean if you’re wearing boots, then it’s cold so the open toes would kind of defeat the purpose?) But I do like these, they look more like shoes than boots.

Lusting after: Basic Shoes

Aren’t we women always lusting after shoes? I’ve been online window shopping and here are a few I have found that will be very cute for fall.

ZJS167_MAINTHUMB Jessica Simpson: Brenda $69.99 These are very cute, even for work. I would definitely rock these with a pair of jeans.

taupe Restricted: Ashley Pump $54.99. If you don’t have a pair of taupe heels for those jeans you need a pair. I still need mine. These may be the ones for me. Perfect heel at 3 3/4 inch ( I find that height the most comfy) and just a basic pair. Loves these.

carlos Carlos By Carlos Santana: Confide $59.99. These are very cute and versatile. Can be worn with skirts, dresses, pants, and jeans. I really like these and they would look hot with or without tights.

BP-BD94340_Black_front Baby Phat: Cynthia $69.00. You know it wouldn’t be a legitimate post from me if I didn’t mention my favorite brand. I like these they are a bit funky but not over the top.

So what do you think of my basics for fall? Have your own to add to the list?

On my Shopping List: Marc Ecko Genie Sneaker

Ok we all know my obsession with sneakers. These sneakers by Marc Ecko are just another reason why I am obsessed. They are similar to the Ed Hardy sneakers except these are good for you ladies who want to be a bit trendy but not too daring. Instead of the huge multicolored skulls and flower tats of the Ed Hardy signature sneaker, these are a bit more low key but still pack enough of a bang. I can actually see myself wearing these to work. Their black and white converse look really works and the studs are in season! You can wear these with shorts or jeans and a nice top! What are your thoughts on these sneakers? You can find them at Zappos for $56.

Spring Shoe Trends: Gladiators

This trend was with us last year but it seems a bit more updated for this season. I wasn’t interested in a pair last year but the versions they have coming up this year are pretty appealing to me. They also come in heels I know some people call this one the cut-out trend but to me they still look like gladiators in heel form. Here I’ll share a few of my faves in different price ranges. I’m sure if you like this trend you will find the perfect pair for you at the perfect price. What do you think of this trend? Do you like it or do you hate it as much as I hate flats?

Here’s a rocked out version from Forever 21for $16.99.

Here’s a high heeled version from Heels.com for $69.99

Patent leather gladiators from Newport News

Stone encrusted gladiator high heel from Victoria’s Secret $139

My Jbandme Shoes

Lisa asked me to wear the shoes. I had to dress up for work today so I figure I take advantage and wear my shoes again and hope that hubby will take the picture. Well he actually took the picture and emailed it to me! I’m so proud of him! Here is a picture with my Jbandme shoes dressed up. Like I said you can probably dress them down with a cute pair of jeans and also wear them with a skirt. I get compliments on these shoes every time I wear them! And the heel is a good size/width.

My Love Affair With Heels

I just love my heels. I’ve written a few posts about that before if you wanted to check those out as well. As much as I love my Air Force Ones, I’m a short Mami at 5’3 (and a quarter..It counts!) inches tall and I love to wear my heels. My summer colección of high heeled shoes is sick and you will find maybe one pair of flat sandals. Everything is either closed toe or open toe high heels. Even my boots have heels.

Well about a week ago I was wearing one of my high heeled pair of boots (that were too big might I add) and I went to stand up after a meeting at work and my ankle just gave way. My shoe didn’t support my ankle and I certainly paid for it. I’m a bit of a klutz so I’ve hurt my ankle before but not this bad. It pains me but what really pains me the most is the wardrobe and shoes that I just can’t wear right now. I’m short and all of my pants are a bit lengthy including jeans because I like to wear my heels with jeans as well. I’m just being so impatient with my ankle but I’m trying to wait it out because spring is thisclose and I’d like to wear my cute shoes. There are so many cute pairs! I’m stuck wearing a really old pair of Air Force Ones that are high top so that I can use the ankle strap on my ankle.

Today I’m dressed nicely but you don’t want to see my feet. My old sneakers stand out like a sore thumb! My amigas online and offline have been telling me to just suck it up and buy a cute pair of flats so that I don’t look like an idiot until my ankle truly heels heals. Look at that I have heels on the brain! I know flats are the trend but I don’t jump on every single trend. I like this look on others but on myself I don’t think it looks like me. Flats are not me, I’m a stilettos girl. Flats to me are my Timbs or my Nikes. That is really all I wear and all I have in my closet.

Now I have to really break out of my mold, suck it up and go to the nearest Payless to buy myself my first pair of flats. Beause you know I’m not trying to pay too much for shoes I don’t even want to wear! I just got my Baby Phats and I have only worn them once.  *cries* Send healing vibes and heeling vibes my way please!! I need to get into my heels ASAP I’m going through withdrawal! And if you see a pair of flats that you think are me please attach them to this post. ;) Till next time right now I’m googling to see if I can find an article that helps me give my ankle a speedy recovery!

PS I ended up giving those too big boots to another friend of mine. You know I’m hard headed I will just wear them again even though they were the cause of all this pain. Ay Dios.

New Shoes from JbAndMe

I got a great pair of Jbandme shoes the other day. They are from Poetic Licence and were originally $118 but where on sale for $71. I loved these shoes because they were so cute and different from my other pairs. They are also beyond versatile. If you are still scared about the price tag, you can really get your money’s worth with this shoe. It’s the perfect heel not too thin or too thick, not too high or too short (at least not for me). You can wear these with your favorite pair of jeans or dress it up with slacks or a skirt. It’s perfect for the weekend and the office! And they are beyond comfy. These are perfect for me. Even with my ailing ankle I was still able to wear them. I do sit much of the day though.

If you’ve never checked out the jbandme web site you really need to! They carry clothing, shoes, and accessories. The only complaint I have about the web site is that they lump all their clothing into one category. You can search by brand but if you’re looking for a shirt you have to go through tons of pages of pants, skirts and tops in order to find the shirt you’d like. I don’t have time like that to search. If they would categorize into tops and bottoms it would be such a time saver! I’d probably find what I’m looking for much faster! They do have their denim in a separate category though.

They also offer free shipping on orders over $75 which is great! One outfit would get you there! You can also set up an account, start a wish list and check out what’s new. With the site constantly being updated it is nice that they have a button for new items. They offer shirts starting at $19 so there is definitely something in everyone’s price range!

I just have to add I am a sucker for packaging. I can’t bear to throw out my shoe box! It’s like a bag and a shoe box in one and the box is fab! I think I’m going to use it to store pics and stuff for scrapbooking. There goes my crafty side again! But hey I’m reusing instead of throwing things away! Now if hubby would only finish my craft room….
